  17. <p>    After Bette Midler would not chirp her hit Do You Wanna
  18. Dance for a 1985 Ford commercial, admen hired an ex-Midler
  19. backup singer to imitate the diva. The star stamped her stiletto
  20. heels and sued. Last week she finally won the case -- plus
  21. $400,000. That'll about keep her in sheet music, but the
  22. principle is what matters. Said the Divine Miss M: "I hope my
  23. victory will in a small way contribute to higher ethical
  24. standards in the advertising field." Do you wanna bet?
